NeoDye® Technology
NeoDye: Digital Textile Printing for Aircraft Carpet
NeoDye® Carpets brings digital printing to aircraft interiors, transforming carpets into a new surface for design, communication and brand identity. Complex graphics, text and customised patterns can be printed directly onto the textile substrate, opening up new possibilities for cabin design.
Lightweight and designed for flexible production, NeoDye® Carpets combines a 1,100–1,200 g/m² weight and 3 mm thickness with high-definition graphics, customised designs and production adapted to short runs and specific cabin projects.
From airline branding to complex visual patterns, NeoDye® Carpets allows greater creative freedom and more flexible production. Manufactured from a common white base and produced on demand, the technology reduces the need for customer-specific stock while enabling designs to be adapted to each project.
What NeoDye® is?
NeoDye® prints colour digitally onto the textile with precise patterns, stable colours, and exceptional durability for aircraft interiors. Production starts from a common textile white base. Each order prints to its own design. This reduces client-specific stock and speeds up supply.

How the process works?
The technology applies the design with digital precision onto the substrate. It optimises water, energy, dye and auxiliary use versus conventional dyeing. The result is more efficient manufacturing with fewer effluents.
Process efficiency
| Indicator | Approx. cut |
| Water | 81 % |
| Energy | 52 % |
| Pure dye | 78 % |
| Chemical auxiliaries | 60 % |
| Effluents | 81 % |
| Process emissions | 50 % |
By our comparative estimates, the process cuts water by around 81 %, energy by 52 % and CO₂e emissions by 50 % versus a conventional reference.
NeoDye®: maximum lightness for every thickness.
The NeoDye carpet weighs between 1,100 to 1,200 grams per square meter and is 3 millimetres thick. Lightness is always compared within the same thickness; carpets of different thicknesses are not compared against each other. A lower installed weight in the cabin supports operational efficiency by reducing fuel consumption.
Carpet as a communication surface
Digital printing turns the carpet into a communication surface in the cabin. It integrates high-definition graphics and text, complex designs and the airline’s visual identity. It suits short runs and on-demand production. “Design without limits” sums up this creative freedom.
Sustainability
Sustainability is integrated into the product and the process. Carpets produced with NeoDye® technology combine 100% recycled nylon fibres with a low environmental impact digital printing process, which significantly reduces water consumption, energy and CO emissions compared to conventional processes. Its lightweight construction also contributes to reducing the weight of the cabin and thus fuel consumption and associated emissions during aircraft operation.
Certification and validation
Each carpet follows the standard client certification and validation process. Certifications, durability and maintenance are confirmed per project, not assumed.
Frequently Asked Questions about NeoDye®
How much water does the process save?
By comparative estimates, the process cuts water by around 81 % versus a conventional reference. It is not a waterless process.
How much does NeoDye carpet weigh?
Carpets printed with NeoDye® technology are 13-20% lighter than those manufactured using comparable conventional methods. For reference, a 3 mm thick carpet has a weight of approximately 1,100-1,200 g/m 2, helping to reduce cabin weight without compromising product performance.
Can the airline's brand identity be printed?
Yes. Digital printing integrates graphics, text, complex patterns and visual identity into the cabin carpet.
Is it certified and made with recycled fibres?
Made from recycled nylon fibers, and each carpet follows the standard customer certification and validation process.
